UMW TOYOTA RELOCATES BODY AND PAINT CENTRE IN BUKIT RAJA, KLANG
UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd‘s 2.3ha body and paint centre in Bukit Raja, Klang has begun operations.
UMW Toyota said with the opening of this new facility which is part of the company’s RM200 million integrated quality hub on 2 May, the body and paint repair operations at Sungai Rasah will be relocated to Bukit Raja to provide better service to customers.
However, customers are still able to check in for body and paint repairs at the Sungai Rasah Service Centre, which remains in its current location.
The new facility is equipped with 42 work bays and four paint booths, which complies with the standards set by Toyota Motor Corporation Japan, and has a repair capacity of 6,150 units per year.
UMW Toyota Motor has invested over RM200mil to develop the Integrated Quality Hub, which includes the development of the body and paint centre. This forms part of the company’s RM1bil investment plan for three years until 2013.

The integrated quality hub consists of a centralised vehicle stockyard, an accessory centre, a test track, a body and paint centre and a production parts warehouse.
